The University of Arizona is committed to seeing all students reach their potential, and we recognize there is usually a big question mark over how to pay for all of that. Fortunately, there are many resources available to current and future UA Fostering Success students and we have a full time financial aid liaison available to help answer all questions related to funding for school!
Federal Financial Aid
One of the most important tasks to complete when beginning your search for funding is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This application is the starting point for many other forms of financial aid, including ETV, the Arizona Tuition Waiver, and many scholarships. When completing your FAFSA, make sure to list the University of Arizona's school code when asked what schools you are considering: 001083. This application is available to you on October 1 each year and should be completed absolutely no later than March 1 each year - the earlier you are able to complete this application, the better!

ETV & AZ Tuition Waiver
Youth who were in the Arizona foster care system on or after their 16th birthday may qualify for the Education and Training Voucher (ETV) Program and the Arizona Tuition Waiver. Additional information and the application for funding is available on Foster Success Education Services website.
ETV can provide youth up to $5,000 per academic year for school-related expenses; however, funding is on a first-come, first-served basis to those who are eligible.
The Arizona Tuition Waiver is only available to eligible students that attend an Arizona public college or university, such as the University of Arizona.

AZ Friends of Foster Children Foundation Scholarship
Arizona Friends of Fostering Children Foundation (AFFCF) is an amazing resource for Arizona's foster youth. This organization helps bridge the funding gaps for a variety of quality life experiences that these youth may not ever have access to otherwise. In addition to non-AFFCF scholarships, eligible youth may apply for an AFFCF scholarship as well. Eligibility guidelines are available for this scholarship fund and we encourage everyone to read these before submitting an application for scholarship funding.
Fostering Success Scholarships
Fostering Success is committed to providing the resources and supports necessary to help our students graduate with a college degree. Currently, there are no Fostering Success scholarships available; however, we are looking for community partners that are interested in developing a scholarship fund with us.
Arizona Assurance
The Arizona Assurance Program is a financial aid program for low-income students in the state of Arizona. The program is designed to assist students in attaining a UA bachelor’s degree by providing financial aid and support services.
